Since Catalina, I am not able to debug any OSX Application anymore. The debugger ignores any breakpoint and just run the program. Also running to cursor (F4) is just ignored and any set breakpoint does not stop it.
Can confirm. Last tested with Catalina beta8 and 10.3.2
Looks like you got PAServer to work.
For the record, the only way that PAServer worked for me was by starting it from the command line by directly starting the app in the macOS folder of the PAServer app bundle.
I've the same problem.
Also, I've seen that "debughook" variable is always 0 in MacOs 64bit in both Catalina and High SIerra. It has correct values in 32 bit mode.
Anyone knows another method to detect debugger?
I did a reply in topic PAServer. The problem is: dbkosx_26_0 is 32bit, support gave the advice to wait for the next update of rio. Beta-version should be fully functional again. > No help for me!
That must be a joke! They kill the whole thing and people have to wait for who knows how long? This sucks! Why dont they just release a new paserver?
How then did some people managed it to debug and that it break at breakpoints? It does nothing for me, no beakpoint, no run to cursor, it just continue running.
You are right. I mentioned this several times. For me it means to stop my prolongation of my licence and switch over to Xcode. The answer from embarcadero (i have premium service) to wait for the next version is not acceptable. A clear fault in software. How can i explain this to any customer of my software? For every version i have to apply a new paserver, no downwards compatiblity! This is not the only problem. f.i. i'm looking for ways to connect to ML-framework of apple. May be my effort was to low for that, but haven't solved this. And this is the case for serveral other framekits too. Multiplatform development with RadStudio seem to me a fake. Sorry.
