Apologies - newbie alert (new to Delphi, not programming)
I have installed Rad Studio10.3 and I am attempting to get some Android development working.
The installed sdk is 25.2
I have created a virtual machine and when I activate it and hit the run button I get the following message:
Unable to create process: Performing Streamed Install
Anyone know what that means? Any other info I need to add to this to help?
Ì should also mention it's Rad Studio Community Edition. Does that make a difference?
I encountered the same error on Windows 7 when using the device emulator and could not resolve the emulator issue. After switching to my own phone for debugging...everything worked fine. It's possible there is an install issue, but I'm not ready to reinstall. If you resolved your issue in another way, please let us know.
My expérience : Windows 10 , C++ 10.3.1, Android 9 only, SDK 25.2
This problem appears when your application Android required some autorisations.
You MUST ask to the user for access to specific part of the mobile. If you dont do that, the application crash, or return a violation error, or Performing Streamed Install.This is my experience, this is not necessary all the true.
I apologize for the issue found. Please, could you give us more informations about the issue? Such as if you have you enabled some entitlement (AdMob Service, Maps Service, Receive push notification or Secure File Sharing), or have changed some other setting in the Project Options window? More informations are welcome, as they can help us to reproduce the issue.
Thank you very much.
I remove all component who require autorisations, and i put them again on the form. After i recode with the request user as the exemple in Studio\20.0\Samples\CPP\Multi-Device Samples\Device Sensors and Services\SensorInfo
Thanks. I think this makes most sense although I'm also having trouble installing additional sdks so not able to plug in my phone
I don't think it's permissions. I just have a form with a button. Just trying to get the basics going
I found an other situation :
- I installed the exemple application map_ccp (Studio\20.0\Samples\CPP\Multi-Device Samples\Device Sensors and Services\Map Type Selector\map_cpp.cbproj) from C++ Builder 10.3 on Galaxy S9, Android 9. It works.
- 2 minutes later, I installed the same application map_cpp from C++ Builder 10.3.1, on the same device. Then i received : Performing Streamed Install. The installation is failed.I removed manualy map_cpp from the device, and i retry to install map_cpp from C++ Builder 10.3.1. The installation works.
Suggestion : "Performing Streamed Install" happens when the previus version of you application is still on the device. Probably C++ Builder cannot revome completly the first installation.
uninstall if the application was previously installed on the device. try again.
Thank you very much for all the informations provided here in order to reproduce the issue. This issue has been already fixed and the bug fix will be made available in the next release. For reference, the internal JIRA ticket is RS-93370.
got the same problem (Unable to create process: Performing Streamed Install) and i fixed it, in Delphi, on the "project manager" tab click on "target platform"->"configuration"->activate "development" instead of "application store", it worked for me
I have the same problem: Performing steamed install
But my target have a red cross in thats symbol I don't know if this is a problem
Hello Paulo Haddad,
Please had you been using RAD Studio 10.3.2 when suffered this issue? Please it is expected that you see the actual deployment failure message instead of "Unable to create process: Performing Streamed Install" starting with RAD Studio 10.3.2.
