I have 2 Huawei P20 Pro phones (wife's and mine). Neither can debug using the latest RAD studio. The phone is seen, the programme is copied to the phone, and runs. But breakpoints are ignored (and starting a progremme with <F8> is just the same as starting with <F9>). I have done the complete reset of the phone at Huawei's suggestion (and foiund that their cute backup tool does not backup everything, unfortunately for me!), and this made no difference.
I have tried a large number of combinations of options in the "Developer Options" stuff - to no avail.
If I plug the old Samsung S5 in instead of the Huaweis, it works perfectly.
Any ideas please?
check build configuration (on the right top of Delphi) to have "Debug" (but when its working on Samsung S5 it should be OK)
check also on the phone :
- USB connection type (should be charging)
- must have "USB Debug" ON in Developer Options.
- check if you have USB drive on windows installed for yours P20 phone
Thanks, Moskw. Unfortunately yes, the build configuration is "Debug". "USB Debug" is already on. USB connection type is file transfer (or otherwise it does not connect at all). I suspect my USB drivers are still the same as the ones for the Samsung. If there are special Huawei ones, please can you point me at them?

Did you check the USB connection type on the phone. Sometimes you need to change (for me most of phones working on charging)
