For DataSnap we are mostly focused on fixing bugs, new features are going in the direction of RAD Server. Anything you are looking for? We can consider...
Marco, what is your opinon about Delphi targeting WebAssembly and web development transpiling to JS?, you do not reply to those questions. I am very interested and suppose that more developers.
WebAssembly is a very interesting technology, for sure.
Here are cool examples of Web apps written with QT and WASM, now we can imagine Delphi FireMonkey application that compiles into WASM and running in a Web browser.https://www.qt.io/qt-examples-for-webassembly
Maybe you are right, but then Delphi doesn't fit in that concept. I can't see any benefit of using Delphi for server-side services instead of using Go or some other language. Do not misunderstand me I really love Delphi and I'm using Delphi since ver. 1.0.
Datasnap still need a lot more upgrades, it is still bloated, slow, and can't perform well for high speed request. Datasnap is only good for small limited connected user. The technology concept is really good, i'm not touching RAD Server yet, since i want to create and handle all server architecture, Datasnap can give me that power. Hope Datasnap can compete with the other server framework like Real Thin Client, mormot, or others that has more speed and performance
