dbscripter.ps1 (powershell.com/.../33996.aspx) which I found in your web site is very useful and works like a charm and thanks for this script. Now that I understood how it works, I need you help enhancing this script to next level which a novice like can use it. This script's limitation is that we cannot use if we are connecting to SQL server database using SQL authentication.
I would like to understand how we can use this script or modify as required if we are connecting to SQL server database using SQL authentication.
curious to know what changes we need to make to this script
your pointers helps.
All powershell experts, could you please help me in this.
I do have code that does use SQL Server Authentication. When executed, the powershell script will pop up a dialog box asking for the userid and password (hidden with asterisks) and it will used those credentials to connect and process. In my example, the code is extracting all the logins for a particular SQL Server instance. I will post the code, input file and example execution. Look for the script called LoginExport.ps1.
You should be able to use this to modify your connections from Windows Authentication to SQL Server.[:)]
