I amp writing a powershell script for my windows infrastructure. And the idea is > A script will run on multiple servers and will get the details about windows server backup in excel file.
I have done my com programing but i am mot able to make the script for multiple servers for windows server backup. I am not able to get any computer name parameter in WSB cmdlet.
Please let me know, in case you help me out.
So the idea is runing an inventory script on one server that will get info about backup settings from multiple servers?
What server versions are we talking about here?
Thanks for reply.
The answer of your question is YES.. I am having this idea to implement.
the server version is > WINDOWS SERVER 2008
Just 2008 or 2008 R2? :)
windows server 2008 R2
Did you find any solution regarding my question..If yes then please share with me...I need to fix it, if it is available....
Hi, sorry for the late reply.
On this version of server you should be able to use PowerShell remoting without a problem.
If you are already done with the "local part" of the script you should be able to run it on the remote server using Invoke-Command.
Thanks for reply....
I tested it but some issues I am facing but overall this command is good. Thanks for sharing it...
You are welcome. It would be great if you shared the solution.
