i have downloaded the IDERA SQL diagnostic for MYSQL.
i have installed the latest rpm package IderaSQLdmforMySQL-8.9.1-0.x86_64.rpm
i also updated the password in /usr/local/MONyog/MONyog.ini file and restarted the service.
when i am trying to login to the console its saying authentication failed.
i see that in the log file /usr/local/MONyog/MONyog.log
[8.9.1] [2020-02-14 01:59:23] Msg:MONyog Stopped![8.9.1] [2020-02-14 02:01:47] Msg:MONyog is Starting ... ![8.9.1] [2020-02-14 02:01:47] Msg:MONyog Started![8.9.1] [2020-02-14 02:03:48] [T: 134224208] user.cpp(546) ErrCode:-1 ErrMsg:Authenticate: User -- admin -- Authentication failed; wrong password![8.9.1] [2020-02-14 02:10:38] [T: 134224208] user.cp
i am using admin as the user name and updated the password and restarted the service still the same issue .
can you help me on the request is there any additional step i need to do.
It is recommended to stop the monyog service first before making any changes to MONyog.ini file. For now please stop the service and remove the password (set as blank password) typed in the password field under monyog.ini file. Save the file and start the monyog service. After that login to the SQLDM UI with blank password and now change the password from the user profile icon there (at upper right corner of the monyog page). Click on the user profile => change password. Change the password then logout and login again with new password. Attached screenshot for your reference.
Thanks for the reply.
it worked with out giving the password.
so one more question is when i want to change the password its asking for the current password.
how can we address that ?
