I'd like to see uptime's splunk integration improved so that the splunk.username and splunk.password fields are no longer required. The integration should use the username of the uptime user. The problem with hardcoding a generic splunk user is that by the nature of splunk there is a lot of data available that not all users should be able to view. splunk contains granular access controls and the splunk.username completely defeats those controls.
It would be acceptable to us if the splunk link required the end user to log in to splunk and then the search is executed. It would be even better though if single sign on was implemented somehow.
Thanks for your post.
As you know, your suggestions are very important to us and we look at each one to determine feasibility and time-to-implementation. As a result, we have logged this into our features request system and marked it as high-priority. Unfortunately, this feature will not make it into our next release – which is expected in the upcoming weeks and includes loads of new features.
Again, thanks very much for your suggestion, if you have any other ideas which will help shape and/or improve our product, do not hesitate to let us know!
Hi, I would like to know if we have any updates on this thread. Is there a feature for Splunk integration already?
