by Sep 29, 2017

We are pleased to announce the general availability of SQL Workload Analysis 1.6.1. Existing users may upgrade to this version through the Idera Customer Portal. New users may download the trial version from the Idera Website. This release includes the following features:

What’s New in Workload Analysis 1.6.1?

  • Top Stored Procedure/Batch Drilldown.  Identify which Stored Procedures are consuming the most resources and causing the most performance bottlenecks.
  • Stored Procedure for Top SQL.  Each SQL statement drilldown includes the associated Stored Procedure to improve problem diagnosis and root cause.
  • Install Database to any Disk.  Database and application no longer must be installed together. Separate queue files and repository to improve performance.

In addition, several defects are addressed in this release.  Please refer to the Release Notes for a complete list.

Top Stored Procedure/Batch Drilldown

SQL Workload Analysis has a new widget to display top stored procedures or batches.  Mousing over any of the entries will identify it as a batch or a procedure.

Selecting any one of them drills down to a filtered view of the top resource consumers for that particular set of SQL statements, by several dimensions at once.

In addition, the calling stored procedure is identified for any SQL statement selected for analysis in the Summary widget for that statement.
