I have a couple of SQL instances that are running fine but show up in SQLdm as critical because of how we have them configured. One is running a third-party application that requires the CLR configuration option be enabled. On the other we have the SQL agent disabled intentionally. Both of these are flagged as critical faults. I would like to have SQLdm ignore these just for these two servers. How can I do that?
Each monitored instance has a list of metrics that are enabled, meaning which metrics SQLDM will alert on. You can modify this list for an individual instance by right-clicking on the instance name and selecting 'Configure Alerts'. For the CLR example, you can simply disable the checkbox for 'CLR Enabled'.
Thank you very much. That did the trick!
