I have an instance of Uptime v5 on MyQSL (windows) and will be deploying v7.6. Is it possible to migrate the datastore from the old instance to the new, which will be SQL Server 2012 SP1. I would like to retain the data that has been collected on the old version.
Uptime upgrades are only supported for the previous two releases of the product. In the case of Uptime 7.6; it can be upgraded from up.time 7.4 or 7.5. This limitation is the same for copying data from an existing Uptime install to a new Uptime install. You can verify the exact version of up.time 5 you are running by clicking the Support button in the top right corner of the UI.
I suggest you upgrade your current install to Uptime 7.6.1 following the instructions in these two KB articles:
docs.uptimesoftware.com/.../Upgrading to Uptime Infrastructure Monitor 7.1 or Earlier
docs.uptimesoftware.com/.../Upgrading to Uptime Infrastructure Monitor 7.6
Then you can migrate from MySQL to SQL Server with guidance from this KB article:
