What is the minimum Windows privileges that can be granted to the SQLCheck user? I’d really rather not make it a local administrator on the servers hosting my SQL Server instances. While that would be simple, it shouldn’t be the only way to make this work.
Windows administrator permissions are the documented requirement for collecting information from a monitored instance. The Windows permissions are used to collect WMI perfmon counters from the target server. In some cases, Membership in the Performance Monitor Users group might grant the permissions necessary to gather WMI perfmon counters remotely, but I can’t guarantee that would work.
