KB: How to display the AppData folder when it is hidden?

To display the AppData folder when it is hidden:

The AppData folder may be hidden by default. To display the AppData folder:

  • Select “Windows Desktop > Start”.
  • In the “Start” menu, type “File Explorer Options” or “Show hidden files and folders”, and select the “File Explorer Options” entry.
  • In the “File Explorer Options” dialog, select the “View” tab.
  • In the “Advanced settings:” panel, in the “Files and Folders” tree, in the “Hidden files and folders” sub-tree, select the “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” radio-button.
  • Select the “OK” button.
