KB: Can I connect to servers with a fully qualified domain name?

Some free tools currently do not support connecting to servers with a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) (e.g. “myserver.cloudapp.net”). Other free tools can connect to servers with a FQDN using SQL Authentication.
