KB: How to uninstall or repair a free tool?

To uninstall or repair a free tool:

via Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features

  1. Select “Windows Desktop > Start”.
  2. In the “Start” menu, type “appwiz.cpl” or “Programs and Features”, and select the “appwiz.cpl” or “Programs and Features” entry.
  3. In the “Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features” window, right-click on the relevant application(for example, “Idera SQL Check 64-bit”), and select the “Uninstall” or “Repair” entry.

via Apps & features

  1. Select “Windows Desktop > Start”.
  2. In the “Start” menu, Type “Apps & features” and select the “Apps & features” entry.
  3. In the “Settings > System > Apps & features” window, select the relevant free tool (for example “Idera SQL Check 64-bit”), and select the “Uninstall” button.

via the installer

  1. Execute the installer for the relevant application (for example, “Idera.SQL.Check.Setup (x64).msi”).
  2. In the setup wizard:
    1. In the “Welcome” window, select the “Next” button.
    2. In the “Change, repair, or remove installation” window, select the “Repair” or “Remove” button.
