Short version: How can I bind an EDD to a new diagram via a macro?
Long version: I've built a macro to create models from a custom metadata database, but instead of creating a local data dictionary for each model, I'd like to have it build a single EDD and then reuse it for each created model. I know how to do it manually, just have to add the diagram to the repository, and then can bind it no problem. However, the command Diagram.ImportDictionary appears to only be able to import physical data files. And I don't see a Diagram.BindEnterpriseDataDictionary method.
A model cannot be bound to an enterprise data dictionary unless it is checked into the repository. And the Enterprise Data Dictionary would be bound at that time.
Just resurrecting this question again.
Is it possible to bind an EDD to a repository diagram in a macro? If so, how do you do it?
I don't see anything in the API that would indicate this is possible. If it mirrored the way it's done manually, there would be a parameter on the RepoAddDiagram method of the Diagram object, but there isn't.
