I've had a request from the on-call app support team to have access to SQL DM.
Is there a way to grant them just view access to the console?
They must not be able to make any changes to either SQL DM itself or any of the monitored SQL Servers?
In the SQLDM Desktop Client, go to the Administration pane. There you can enable/disable Application Security. With Application Security, you can basically assign permissions to certain users. You can grant view access to one or more registered instances using Application Security. NOTE: Users that have sysadmin rights on the instance hosting the SQLDM repository database will automatically have admin rights in SQLDM.
