I'm consolidating some alerts that create multiple emails, the best way I found so far is use "All metrics in this list" for a single metric. This seems to have worked except I was planning on creating multiple alerts. They all have the subject "Multi-Metric Alert". Is there any way to change that per-alert? The intention is to have multiple Multi-Metric Alerts each with a different subject.
Do you want an e-mail if ANY of the alerts are fired or only if every one of the alerts in the list has fired? "All metrics in this list" will only activate if every alert is true at the same time. It is a logocal AND. "Any metric in this list" will be a logical OR.
I'm only using a single metric that fires off multiple alerts. For example deadlocks would send an email for each deadlock. Now they send in a single email with the subject "Multi-Metric Alert". I would like to change that subject and call it "Deadlock Summary". Then I might make one for a different metric (or set of metrics) with a different Subject line. Is that possible?
Good news/bad news. The good news is it should behave the way you describe and allow you to edit the e-mail subject. The bad news is there is a bug preventing that from happening. Can you open a support case on this issue please?
There is a remote chance they can find a workaround, but outside that we will log the bug and associate your name to notify when we have a fix.
