While tying to import a sql file in DA 17.0.0 i get the following error:
What's the encoding on the file? Try saving it with a different encoding and then try again. If that doesn't work then you'll probably have to import bits at a time to find out what lines are causing the problem.
Thanks Stan, I have tried all four encoding and also a shortened the table to only two attributes. In ANSI only it creates the table without the attributes and no errors.
Hi Stan, do you have any updates for me?
I'd have to take a look at the file to be sure. Would it be possible to send it to me or post it?
Here is the sql, very straight forward. All it does is create the table but no attributes. ANSI encoded:
CREATE TABLE books( book_id NUMBER PRIMARY KEY, book_name VARCHAR2(30), author_name VARCHAR2(40), book_isbn VARCHAR2(20) );
I just imported this script (picked Oracle 12 as the db platform), and it pulled in all the columns.
Attaching the file I used to import.
CREATE TABLE books
( book_id NUMBER PRIMARY KEY,
book_isbn VARCHAR2(20) );
I was also able to import this into Oracle. What database platform are you trying to import this into?
I am still getting - 1 line processed and the table is created with NO attributes. I tried setting Oracle 11g, and 12c both the times the same result.
its ok i figured it out.
Thanks for your help Stan and harslan
What did you do to resolve the issue?
